Pilar is a guardian and educator of how to embody and integrate expanded states of consciousness. As a mentor for therapists and sacred space holders, she weaves together a diverse background in art, depth psychology, Somatic Experiencing®, Daoist philosophy, Indigenous plant medicine technology, and feminine tantric principles to guide others in remembering their innate wisdom.
Her journey began with a BA in Fine Art from USC, where she discovered conscious meditation through her work in the photography darkroom. This led her to study of Trauma-Informed Yoga and went on to earn her 200-RYT certification, teaching to neurodivergent children and adults in Venice, CA. Pilar’s deep inquiry into the psychic and somatic realms expanded through her training in Somatic Experiencing® and her MA in Depth Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2019.
Her studies incorporate Jungian, Existential, and Archetypal perspectives, offering a language to integrate the numinous—whether through deep meditation, visionary states, or transformational plant medicine experiences. This inspired her thesis, Bones of the Therapist’s Chair: An Exploration of Witchcraft and Psychotherapy, which examined the inherent presence of archetypal practices of ancient witchcraft with in modern psychotherapy consultation room.
A lifelong devotion to beauty, spirit, and soul-led transformation eventually led her to the jungles of Colombia and Costa Rica, where she apprenticed with teachers and elders of the Yagé Inga Tribes of the Putumayo region. Since then, she has guided hundreds through the integration of plant and fungi medicine, expanded states, and visionary experiences.
